Core Table

This table was commissioned by the Penland School of Crafts for the impending Core Fellows' residence. It was built in the Penland wood shop and designed and made in collaboration with artist Liz Koerner. The legs are carved from laminated walnut and the top is veneered with 1/8" shop-sawn veneer for durability. We sought to create a table that was luxurious and playful while remaining a practical gathering spot for the daily meals, tasks, and table-top dance parties of future Core Fellows.
